Construction of WWTP and Rehabilitation and Upgrading of the Sewerage Network in the Municipality of Bitola

To improve municipal wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure in compliance with the directive 91/271/EEC and National Law. 
The project envisages measures for design and construction of WWTP in Municipality of Bitola, which would contribute to the following: 

• To improve sanitary and hygienic conditions and standards for the population;
• To improve substantially the presently unacceptable environmental conditions of the recipient (Dragor River) (dilution less than 1:1) and the river water quality after the outfall of the WWTP that will meet the targets of environmental standards;
• To decrease further downstream nutrient accumulation and eutrophication in the transboundary stream of Vardar River and the Aegean Sea;
• To ensure proper functioning of the future Central WWTP.

Specific objective (outcome)

Design and construction of wastewater treatment plant for 112,474 PE with total daily average flow of approximately 27,090 m3/day. 
Works will be implemented following FIDIC Conditions of Contract (“Yellow Book”, 1999 edition) and Contract documents
